Legend goes that the inventor of the Christmas cracker in 1845, Tom Smith, was inspired by the crackles and pops of a winter fire. Now, they are a festive favourite – and your wee ones can get in on the act with our Christmas Cracker Making Workshop
Fortnum and Mason are welcoming children aged between 5 and 12 into The Cook Shop on Fortnum’s First Floor, where they can decorate and assemble their very own Fortnum’s crackers with so much festive gold and glitter that Christmas Day is sure to go off with a bang.
Make sure to book your spot early, as we can only host 16 children per session. Participating children must be aged 5 and over. Children up to the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult, while children aged 9 and over may be left unattended, but parents must remain in store while the workshop is running.
Sessions 10:30 - 11:30 and 12:30 - 1:30
