REDBRIDGE_Library.jpg

Join Redbridge Culture & Libraries for a vibrant celebration of life & death in this family friendly arts festival based on Mexican traditions.

There will be loads to see and do including arts & crafts with The Amazing Art Cart, arts exhibitions, films, storytelling with Shed of Stories, face painting, a death café, live music and entertainment by mariachi band Los Soneros and musical statues Skelivs & Grisella.

Look out for Mandinga Arts grand carnival parade of extravagant puppets, glamorous Catrinas, cheeky skeletons and infectious Mexican music. Join the procession and come dressed as the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, or opt for a colourful skeleton inspired by the films Coco and the Book of Life. We want as many of you in costume as possible!

Library staff will look out for your amazing costumes throughout the day and prizes will be awarded to the best ones.

Free, some events/activities may incur a charge.

All activities in the library will finish at 4pm. The Carnival parade will begin at 4pm, starting at Redbridge Central Library and moving into the main town centre. It will last 45 minutes to an hour.
